When Golf Digest called us to shoot an interview with Masters champion Jordan Spieth, we immediately complied. When they told us the original concept, we got even more excited. They planned to do a “Celebrities Read Mean Tweets” video with Spieth, but alas, being the most buzz-worthy golfer on the planet at the moment, his handlers said the barely-legal-to-drink Spieth would not be participating in anything that could potentially tarnish his sterling reputation.

What did they land on? A video of Spieth making a 90-foot putt (double his longest bomb on tour at the time) in the hotel hallway. The Golf Digest team tried for an hour to no avail, so we knew we had a formidable challenge for the young ace, and if that wasn’t hard enough, they decided to hit him with a series of pop-culture questions to try to crack his now-legendary Masters Champ concentration.

With the footage Cy Cyr and I shot, Golf Digest created the Jordan Spieth 90-foot Putt video and a behind the scenes video of his cover shoot.

NJIT Marketing


The New Jersey Institute of Technology Is one of the most progressive technology institutes in the world, but they don’t have the notoriety of a school like MIT, and the difference is marketing. That’s why NJIT came to CSK Creative to produce a shoot with both photos and video of the faculty with one environmental video as the centerpiece.

The video featured Cristian Borcea, Associate Professor of Computer Science at NJIT, discussing high-level technology challenges on the horizon. The video is intended to usher potential students into the site and catch their attention as well as their imagination to the potential of a career in Computer Science with a degree at NJIT.

The photos were all environmental portraits with the faculty in locations that made them feel comfortable. The faculty all had busy schedules and plenty of prior commitments so we shot all our interviews and photos with minimal disruption. The final result was a website that was not only extremely clean and aesthetic, but also informative. We couldn’t be happier with the result.

Neptune Skin is the world’s first waterproof smartphone sleeve that features a magnetic seal. To showcase this unique product, the company contacted CSK Creative for a product video that would demonstrate the Neptune Skin across the elements with multiple devices. On a shoot that spanned from the mountains in Colorado to the beaches in Florida, Neptune Skin was put through its paces during this all-weather production.

We worked closely with the client to create not only the long form editing, but also a brand new 3D logo intro that spiced up the 2D logo and brought it to the next level. See below for the original logo along with the 3D logo, which got animated into the video you see at the bottom of the page.

On the client’s request, we shot the majority of the video from actual smartphones, only using professional cameras for the establishing shots to show the viewer what was happening. We included multiple accessories and different talent for variety and to demonstrate all the product’s capabilities. The company has since struck a deal with Walmart to include Neptune Skin in retail and they’ve signed licensing deals with multiple sports teams to brand the waterproof pouch with your favorite team’s logo.

Conference Videography

Yesterday CSK Creative had the privilege of working with Canale Communications on an interview video shoot at the Hyatt Regency Orlando for marketing videos. We were shooting interviews of extremely specialized medical professionals talking about a new treatment for Meniere’s Disease and childhood ear infections that’s making its way through the approval process.

CSK Creative was chosen as the production company for the medical interview videos because of our two-camera setup (most companies only use one camera) with professional audio and lighting at very competitive pricing.

The day was an absolute success. The Hyatt Regency is a fantastic Orlando videography venue and the suite provided a quiet place to quickly and efficiently get the interviews done with minimal interruptions. The setup worked out perfectly because the AAO conference the doctors were attending has an extremely expensive admission fee, so the interviewees just walked over to our pre-set room rather than shooting the videos at the Orange County Convention Center.

Faculty Interview

CSK Creative recently got the opportunity to conduct video interviews with the faculty at the University of Florida’s Urban Planning department about their new online masters degree.

UF is a legacy school with a rich on-campus heritage (Go Gators!), but something people may not know is that they have a cutting edge online learning program that may be even better than the on-campus experience for specific types of students.

CSK Creative recorded interviews videos of faculty talking about the online urban planning degree, and then produced 19 total faculty videos to help students learn more about the program and decide if it’s right for them.

Below is one of the videos with Kristin Larsen, PhD, AICP, the program director and professor of Urban and Regional Planning. We used a two-camera, high-definition setup (one of which has motion for a more dynamic feel and something to use for cuts when we wanted to omit information), pro audio with a lavalier mic, and lighting with a massive soft box to get a soft, consistent light that would take care of some of the shadows on the subject’s faces without setting the architecture drawings on fire.

Cover Shoot

The gorgeous and fun Amanda Lewis was crowned the Rockstar Energy Drink Ms. Transworld Wakeboarding 2013 presented by Supra Boats, and Staff Photographer Bill Doster was behind the lens for her cover shoot in front of a Supra SA 350 at an active mining pit in Tampa, Florida. CSK Creative went along for a behind-the-scenes video to document the event.

Steven Douglas Carroll


Steven Douglas Carroll is currently the President and CEO of Lee DuBois Technologies, a titan in the world of professional sales training. Carroll has come to the point in his career where he’s so sought after that public speaking and spokesman gigs are his next mountains to climb. With years of sales experience, Carroll is the perfect candidate for companies looking to represent themselves through a face that’s known in the community and who understands their offerings and can communicate t0 (and ultimately convert) their target market.

Carroll approached CSK Creative for the motion side of his representation and Cy Cyr to take the epic still images. The result was a professional demo reel that represented Carroll and demonstrated what he was capable of as a spokesman. The result was spectacular.

The first video is an overview of Carroll’s skills and shows the audience what a professional pitchman can do without a script. Carroll was a high-level athlete for years, so it was only natural that he would choose tennis and golf as the first two scenes. The last scene shows Carroll in his true element, the boardroom.

The next video is a quick pitch of one of Carroll’s books from the epic downtown Orlando cityscape.

And finally, my favorite video of the bunch is the fake Cialis commercial we shot. It was an impromptu thing, and all Carroll’s idea, and it turned out fantastic.
